About the Author
Amy Coleman is the Senior Director of Payer Network at CoverMyMeds and leads a team responsible for the performance of payer products and programs, including adoption and utilization, value creation for network stakeholders, and attainment of financial and strategic goals.
Prior to joining CoverMyMeds, Amy spent a decade working at a pharmacy benefit management (PBM) company where she started as a coverage determination pharmacist and became director over formulary operations and clinical programs. During her time in PBM, she created tools and processes that increased the efficiency and accuracy of claims adjudication. Amy also brings 15 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as a retail and hospital pharmacist, and as a medical science liaison in the pharma industry.
Amy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in pharmacy from the University of Toledo and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida. She is a registered pharmacist in the state of Ohio and a Fellow of Academic Education and Leadership at Northeast Ohio Medical University. Amy is a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, which enables her to use Six Sigma methodologies and tools for implementing and sustaining high impact projects and process improvement. She and her husband, Matt, have two little girls and live in Richfield, Ohio. Outside of work, Amy enjoys being active, riding bikes and spending time outdoors. She also enjoys cooking and is passionate about the importance of living a healthy lifestyle and is pursuing a certification as a Health Coach.
